I've seen a few threads discussing prog rock, such as :-

http://www.aom3.org/forum/f19/all-yo...fans-2175.html (For All You Old Prog Rock Fans..........)
http://www.aom3.org/forum/f10/hi-new-member-2177.html (Hi from a New Member)

Seems like people have been getting these from various sites. I see some albums were obtained from Millisong, Lavamus, Mp3Sale, eMusic. Not sure I can make a recommendation, but here's some ideas anyhow.

Hope this helps.

Jericho - 09-15-2008, 08:57 AM

Fans of prog rock who think they own every classic album in existence might be interested in one I spotted on Sparks recently. Jericho, by the Israeli band of the same name, was released in 1972 to very limited acclaim - but it really is an great album, with good songs and some excellent guitar work. It's quite a lavish production for a band who were little-known outside their own country. Over the years the album became quite a sought-after rarity until it was eventually re-released on CD. As far as I know, it's still fairly obscure so I was surprised to see it on Sparks - and also on Millisong (probably at half the price). I was listening to my CD copy this morning and the music still sounds fresh.

Thanks Gaucho,

I am a big Prog fan, so I may check that out.

Most of the sites represented here have a good selection of prog. I use mp3sale, iomoio, emusic, and several others. I'd also recommend visiting progarchives.com. It's a great resource for any progressive rock fan.

Btw, for something a bit different, try Pendulum's In Silico. They used to be drum n bass but In Silico sounds like prog rock to me.

As I'm a fan of progrock / prog related music I'll add my own experience.

I'm currently checking
* mp3sparks
* emusic
* millisong
* gomusic
* mp3fiesta

so, basically, for my needs there is no 'best' site.
you will probably have to check various sites which will complement each other (hopefully )
