That was the best time of my life at college because we were GOOD, and don't even get me started on BAND CAMP (College-style) - we coulda competed with the wildest Fraternities - it was kind of a shock to a naive 18-year old my freshman year!

Wow...That's quite impressive..talk about the Big Band sound!
that's one genre of music I have not explored..But being from NY
I used to go to The ThanksGiving Day Parade and I always loved
the Marching Bands when I was a kid. Made the day feel so special and
alive.

I have learned something today, thank you....

I went there 1984-1988 then Master's Degree 1990-92! I loved it - still do!

I hope your son loves it as much as I did! Will be going to a game on November 15th (Band Alumni Weekend - the band geek will just not die)

Nightfly - JMU is in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade THIS year (not their first time though!)

Are you, per chance, a DCI fan?

A few corps come to Chesapeake every summer. I love it. I was in a very good marching band during HS (NOT my high school band) and watching the DCI (Drum Corps International for the rest of you) brings back a lot of memories.

Yes, Nightfly, it is a lot like Big Band music. Not coincidentally, I'm a huge Buddy Rich fan!
