This thread and the one Frunze started (Coco De Mer & remix of Carmen) got me to thinking about other 'classical' tracks which have been rehashed by modern day artists. On the Wolf Hoffman album track 3 'Habanera' I recognised as being other re jigging of Carmen (Aren't you impress with me Nightfly ). I will be partying with squash in the banning room because I like both versions, but does anyone else have any other examples of artists redoing the classics? My favorite is Rufus Wainwright's 'Oh What A World' (great cover version of Ravel's Boléro, much better than the original). Any others ,

Dave,
Yes the banning room is quite a festive place, having spent some time there
myself awhile back ,I can attest to that.Dave I am very impressed with your
Carmen reference(my favorite)....
But I think you should be making plans for your new Xmas Tree..
Rufus Wainwright's knock off of the master Ravel's Boléro better
than Ravel's original version..
Dave,Dave,Dave.....
You're still the man though...
