It's been pretty quiet in the banning room recently; I was thinking about putting up a Christmas tree soon

This thread and the one Frunze started (Coco De Mer & remix of Carmen) got me to thinking about other 'classical' tracks which have been rehashed by modern day artists. On the Wolf Hoffman album track 3 'Habanera' I recognised

as being other re jigging of Carmen (Aren't you impress with me Nightfly

). I will be partying with squash in the banning room because I like both versions, but does anyone else have any other examples of artists redoing the classics? My favorite is Rufus Wainwright's 'Oh What A World' (great cover version of Ravel's Boléro, much better than the original). Any others

,
Cheers,
