I think she's a phenomenal soul singer. Tried to get her added before I was in MM, but all I got is "try back in a couple of months". Now that I am in MM they responded right away and asked which albums. So, fingers crossed, I am can fill the missing items in my collection. Actually, I've got 3 CDs of her, but some others are out of print or only available in the UK. More than happy to support her fully. I'd happily purchase them if I could. As it is, I'd try it with MM.

I only have two of her albums (CD's):

Mica Paris - The Best Of Mica Paris (1999)

and a rather rare one from 1988 bought last year on eBay (I even have this one on vinyl):

Mica Paris - So Good


I think that her version of One is MUCH better than U2's version (which is good)...

I bough "So Good" last year on eBay too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW

Her duet with Will Downing is the #1 played song on my iPod, followed by "So Good" and her rendition of "I put a Spell on You" with Jools Holland Opera.

Thanks for offering, but I think I am all set for now. Got proper CDs. I think the albums at that link are actually just tracks from a compilation, not her own CDs.

Also love Mica, have all her cd's (from before the flood ). By the way, Lavamus has a couple, including her Black Angel cd, if you're interested. They also have her latest - soul classics. I pre-listened and was very unhappy - with her voice and emotion, she put very little (imho) feeling or anything new into some older r&b. Very disappointing.

You're right. None of the R&B classics fit her voice - emotion or not.
I have all of her CDs now too.
