Mac forever - 05-24-2007, 09:06 PM

If anyone of you has a Mac and wants to talk about Mac related things, we can start a Mac section. I'm here to help too if I can.

Ciao

Here's a list of download managers: http://www.pure-mac.com/dlm.html
Most of them are shareware, though. But some (like iGetter) are fully functional and will only show a nag screen at startup.

I use the downThemAll plugin for Mozilla on my Mac.

I don't get it.

Or did I miss something here?

I think we might have both missed something. I think there was some spam link in leony's signature that was removed.

I like to hear a MAC users opinion on linux,if you have one.

I've never used a MAC,and I'm not familiar with the operating system,so I have no opinion of my own about a MAC.

I have heard about the fine hardware they use,and the great audio capabilities, but the price!!!!

I,m mostly curious to if you have used linux, then why do you prefer MAC?
If you haven't used linux, then a heresay opinion would be irrelevant.
Everything about a MAC is EXPENSIVE.
Everything about linux is free.

And there isn't anything that I've found yet that I can't do with linux,95% of the time, much, much better than the windows OS.

I use(d) Linux, so you won't find me arguing for Mac over linux. For a long time I had a dual boot Linux/Windows box - primarily during my college years. At the moment my computer needs at home are few - internet, music and graphics. Remote connectivity to my work desktop using the Mac is a bit cumbersome, but doable. This is my first mac - but probably will be my only.
