It takes 15-20 minutes to rip a full DVD into a 4.7 GB image file (.vob) AND then burn this to a new disc, when using Slysoft CloneDVD/AnyDVD on a single core processor PC (AMD Athlon 64 4000+)
1½ hour movie (menus, trailers, copy warnings etc removed) = approximately 15 minutes (ripped AND burned)
2½ hour movie (menus, trailers, copy warnings etc removed) = approximately 20 minutes (ripped AND burned)

Viracocha,
The review was of VisualHub's ability to convert non-dvd files such as .avi or .mkv media into dvd files. Likewise it focused on the app's versatility. You've compared this to ripping a dvd and this is incorrect. You'd need to compare Mactheripper's ripping ability and DVD2OneX2's remastering and burning process. Using that comparison MTR will rip a dvd between 10 and 20 minutes and then the file goes into DVD2OneX2. This latter application will finish the whole process in under 10 minutes. Likewise DVD2onex2 allows you to find and omit zero cells, will find and overcome most errors and will then burn the finished product. However many mac users don't use this application.
In actual fact you don't have to use VisualHub to burn a dvd. Likewise you don't have to use DVD2oneX2 but you must use one or the other. I was merely providing users with information as to how dated the application Toast actually is.
If users DON'T have Dvd2OneX2 then VisualHub will do the trick as well but you'll only be able to use your internal burner. I sometimes use all three but more often than not I use MTR and DVD2oneX2. I hope that clarifies the situation.
