I like the way MS posted the news on their own news company web site: "MSNBC.com is a Microsoft - NBC Universal joint venture." I wonder are MS quitely trying to sabotage their own DRM software restrictions, and get a little good
PR on the side. For example, it's almost as if they saying, "yes we invented and promote DRM, and we know it's a terrible idea but you can get around it if you really want to." How cynical and manipulative is that? They know the vast majority of people aren't going to bother getting around MS DRM restrictions. They're going to simply download music with the DRM.
If they're telling people on their own news web site how to remove DRM, why don't they go one step further and stop promoting the use of DRM and stop putting it in their operating systems? That would save us all a lot of hassle.
