yet still use Windows instead of Linux,

I wonder if this is why Solaris doesn't like..err HATES,DESPISES,HAS FIRE IN THE HAT towards Open Office?

I don't use it myself, but this is the first I've heard of these kinds of complaints,at a board where windows is dominant.
I suspect Solaris uses windows exclusively as well?
At all the linux boards I frequent,I am always reading "solutions" to,and how well Open Office can handle all the windows derived formats.
Maybe if this open source application was used with a open source operating system, such as linux, these issues would be non-existant?
Also,it's quite possible that a language configuration may be needed to Open Office to correspond with different languages.
It may be that English is the "assumed" language, and in the examples Solaris has given such a fruitjuice vs. fruit juice,as far as in English language is concerned, the spelling really is incorrect.
There are many linux apps I have installed that come default with the English/US configurations.
There are 50-60 more language and/or country configurations that can be added to the config files if needed.
Of course,I don't need it.
The main reason why it isn't there by default.
If OO were to be adapted to another language(or several other languages),it may say that both spellings are correct.
Who knows? I don't.
I don't use OO as I've already mentioned.
I just know these type of "special" configurations are needed with almost all open source applications.
Do you want the KDE or Gnome menu in Polish,or Russian,or Hebrew?
Just add the configuration files to KDE base for these languages.
It's done.
As you have said here:

if you do re-learn OO,you may find it doesn't suck at all.
You may find it is actually much better, and free!
