Hi Frunze
When you use Tor, your connection is routed through three random servers. If you get a really slow server in that chain, you get a slow connection, but if you try a few times you can usually get a pretty fast route.
Tor isn't actually owned by anyone; servers are run by well-meaning volunteers - and also by feds, spooks and hackers. It was one of the latter who got his collar felt in Germany recently for intercepting traffic. So no, it's not a good idea to send usernames and passwords over Tor. And my post wasn't entirely serious
