Hi mehrens2112
I have heard

that normally one of these two things happens, when you download your brother's .avi version of the latest family gathering:
1. When you right click on the part1-file, WinRAR unpacks the seven archives and creates
ONE .avi file, which you can then let VSO ConvertXToDVD well... convert from .avi to DVD
2. The seven files you download are named .001, .002, ... .007
What to do now?
Piece a cake: Download HJSplit (freeware) here:
Download HJSplit
Install the application, run it, browse (inside the application) to find the .001 file and let HJSplit join the seven parts for you. You now have your .avi file, which you can then let VSO ConvertXToDVD well... convert from .avi to DVD
