Best thing to try next?: Reload all tunes on iPod.

I've had zero problems with track numbers and MM DL'd tracks. Mod'ing tags sounds dangerous.

How do you mean? Doesn't it reload each time you sync? Or are you saying reformat iPod and load it again?

Dear All,

I've got some time off between semesters so maybe I'll get some information together on how you can fix ipods. Believe me, it goes a lot further than restore and reset functions. Be patient because and be about two weeks until I've got all the work out of the way. I'll set it up as a separate thread and I encourage everyone to put in their two cents/p/franc/centavo and worthless Zimbabwean whatevers as well.

For mac users I'll also give you some information on software other than Toast to create dvds from .avi files. Maybe we can also talk about to how back up your commercial dvds as well.

In the meantime, unless you are carrying music or videos on your iPod that are not also in your library, a complete Restore would still be an option.
