Question Spell Checker for Fire Fox - 06-28-2007, 03:09 AM

Does anybody know of or use a spell checker like iespell
for Fox Fire?

I assume you mean Firefox. There's built-in spell-checking since version 2 came out.

Yes Gethsemane I do mean fire fox thanks for the correction and
your response..I am using a earlier version..

I wasn't intending to correct you ... I just wanted to make sure you knew which program my advice applied to.

I do recommend the latest version. It's more stable, a couple new features, and a bunch of security updates. Pretty much every Add-on (previously called Extensions) have been updated for 2.x

Also, while you're updating, I highly recommend http://adblockplus.org/ for inline adblocking. Firefox already does a great job with popups, but this blocks advertisements that appear in the page as well.

Thanks for the extra info..I am upgrading today..version I was using was so
stable ..so I left it..but interested in those add ons and thanks for the
adblock recommend....I don't mind being corrected even if that was not your
intent ..I like to present myself well...and I am on new meds that make
me a little loopy...lol....so you were doing me a service...

Updated today..really like the add ons...I found a add on called
Spellbound for Mozilla ..a really nice spellchecker with a nice interface..
to replace the built in one (easier for me to see)...I recommend it..

I used spellbound up until Firefox 2.0 ... it was the first extension (now called addons) that I installed whenever I got on a new machine.
