hey all!! long time no post.

just bought a new laptop with vista. didn't want to...wanted a mac...but i need a 17" widescreen and a mac was over $1000 more...blah blah blah...

so...wondering if anyone has had any issues playing their allofmp3 music or music from any other sources on vista machines. also would be interested to hear of any tweaks that any of you might have for vista. feel free to pm me with those.

Don't know a thing about Vista but there must be some who do - so sit tight for advice on the MP3Sparks/allTunes/Vista situation

Saw your comment on my blog...many thanks!! DRM...is that wrong? Thought that digital rights management was the problem with vista...have i just publicly humiliated myself? Would definitely NOT be the first time!!!!

There's A LOT wrong with DRM - but not by you mentioning it, sweet Holly I just wondered why you used the word(s) DRM in your header and didn't in your actual post

Vista's poor reputation over DRM is largely undeserved. In practice it's only likely to affect the playing of HD video discs, and that applies equally to all other domestic video equipment. There could be issues with playing some DRMed audio content through an S/PDIF output but this isn't likely, and is unchanged from Windows XP.

Thanks!! And also thanks for not making fun of me for a sort of dumb post!! I have it up and running now and have not experienced any problems. Don't know why I was so paranoid. Spending too much time on the internet perhaps...believing hype and such....arghhhh!!!
