I totally agree with you about DRM, and happily it's now looking as though the days of music DRM are numbered. And whatever local laws apply I wouldn't dream of making moral judgements about people stripping DRM from their files.
You may have caught the news last week about a UK site called tv-links, which provided links to copyright material, being raided and shut down for the "facilitation of copyright infringement", with the assistance of the Dutch anti-piracy body BREIN. My concern was about compromising the position of aom3.org, which may or may not also be hosted within the EU.
