Can I Re-Download an mp3? - 06-05-2008, 06:52 AM

Funded my sparks account and downloaded a song at 192, then the same song at 320 to see if my ears can tell much of a difference.

Unfortunately, the 320 overwrote the 192, and that won't make for much of a comparison. Can I download the 192 again? If so, how???

Thanks,
Chamlin

no, it's impossible to redownload tracks you have bought
but if you write to assistance and explain the problem, i am sure they will refund your balance

That they will do - no question - but that is not upgrading a file from 192 kbps to 320 kbps and expecting to be compensated

We actually asked them (late last year), if they would consider such a service in the future (upgrading and paying a little extra) and they said that they'd think about it. I guess they're still thinking

I would understand if they don't want to go through the complexity of the upgrade, but this was for a specific purpose, and alltunes automatically overwrote the 192 with the 320.

It's not a big deal. Pennies. But it was just unexpected that it would overwrite the file without asking.

Live and learn!

The reimbursed me! Quick turnaround too. Now...to see if my ears can tell the difference between 192 and 320.

Good to hear that, chamlin, even if I never would have thought they would have reimbursed you. But I guess that the money must be rolling in for them now that they have opened a few payment options for all their customers
