Ever heard Katie Melua's I Cried for You?

I saw the YouTube video and was struck to the core of my soul.

Americans get cheated out of a lot of overseas talent by the American music industry. They seem to go out of their way to make sure we never hear of some artists.

Amazon has tons of imports and singles, but I guess she only has three studio releases. I think there's at least one live disc out there.

I think she's wonderful. I love her cover of "Crawling up a hill", and even if she's no Nina Simone, but her "Lilac Wine" has merit. Her virtual duet with the late Eva Cassidy on "Over the rainbow" is really amazing.
