Angry sloooow updating? - 06-20-2007, 07:37 AM

Do you find that compare to other music services, that allofmp3 is incredibly slow in updating their catalogue? I'am still waiting for allofmp3 to add some albums that have already been available on musicmp3.ru and legalsounds for the past 2 months! And its mainstream music.

Not that i don't think allofpm3 have enough of their plate as it is, but their lack in frequent upgrading of their catalogue is starting to frustrate me...

AOM3 I agree with you AOMP3 can be slow in getting music onto the servers. I know I have downloaded a number of albums off other sites just because I got fed up waiting.

Could it be due to the delay in sourcing the CD's? I note they have a selection of CD's issued from multiple markets such as the UK, USA, Japan, Germany etc.

It is a bit frustrating though.

I think its because, allofmp3 have to obtain the actual cd as they offer uncompressed formats, unlike other shops which can just obtain MP3's, which are easy to get hold off than the uncompressed versions.

Do you think that this might in part be due to the fact that allofmp3 is very aware that they are being closely scrutinised by the RIAA (and whoever) and they are having to be extra careful about only putting albums on to their site when they are absolutely sure they are allowed to. My argument here being that Al Capone was sent to jail for tax evasion rather than running a crime syndicate. Maybe they are nervous that some body will try to close them down via some other excuse. I.e. illegally putting an album on their download list too soon or something along those lines. NB. Please do not take this example I have used too literally. I do not think allofmp3 is a crime syndicate; I do not actually think they are doing anything illegal. If they were, they would have been shut down by now.
Cheers,
Dave C

I believe it's because of their high standards as you said..I'd rather wait and get the format I want and know it's done right..rather than any old thing
thats thrown at me like mp3stor that I frequent..

i think aom3 only respects the dates of releases and the others sites... not ! (they don't rip themsleves cd's but are using p2p)
