Converting MP4 to a DVD to Watch on TV - 06-01-2008, 06:23 PM

I have downloaded files from Oprah's class with Eckhart Tolle that:

1. Originated as .m4v and are playable in iTunes and QuickTime
2. Also play in Real Player after simply changing the file name extension to .mp4

How do I convert the files to a format that can be played on a traditional DVD player so my mom can watch them on her television?

Thanks for any guidance you may have.

Chamlin

You could try Convertxtodvd. I've used it to convert avi and dvix to dvd with great results.
AVI to DVD Video Converter Software VSO ConvertXtoDVD

Excellent advice, BT40

Convert X To DVD is unbelievably easy to use Just drag and drop the media file to the application and it almost does the rest itself

A lot of more modern DVD players are able to play DivX etc. In which case you can simply burn it straight onto a CD or DVD as a data file

Cheers,

Convert X To DVD is great. Downloaded it, gave it a trial run, purchased it. So easy to use I thought I was doing something wrong.

Thanks to all!

Hey by the way, what is the "thank" protocol here on this forum?

Peace,
Chamlin

Why don't you search any free tools with search engine ? I just do it with Google and find Convert M4V to DVD, M4V to DVD Converter, DVD to M4V Ripper Download. You can use the trial service. Hope it helps.
