I need to pass the word that Samsung has a DVD Player on the market that is absolutely the BOMB in my humble opinion. It looks like nothing special, in fact like a somewhat cheap player, but this thing is loaded with features besides the normal 1080p up-conversion stuff. The coolest part, and there are two:

1) DivX and Xvid decoders, will play burned DVD's no sweat. Will also play raw avi's (anyone into this stuff knows how cool that is ).

2) Front USB port ! Finally, you can actually put a movie (or 5) on a flash drive, walk over to your dvd and play the avi directly from the USB drive. The remote will control the USB with a menuing system.
Or put about 100 cd's on a 8 gb drive and go batty with endless music thru your home theatre system -- at 7.1 Dolby.

I've had it about 3 weeks now and I'm amazed, because certain movies I watch I no longer have to en-code in real time and then burn to disk, a 1-2 hour process.

They have it on Amazon for $70 --- I picked it up at WallyWorld for $65. I still can't believe how cool this thing is...
