In fact what I found amusing had nothing to do with the state of Squash's drive... I was more entertained by the "quality over quantity" comment

Once again, you misunderstand. The comment about quality being more important the quantity tells me more about squash then I ever wanted to know - regardless of whether it's floppy or hard.
