What is the best way to send an MP3 file to a friend via the internet. I'm not talking a large number of files,(I don't want to fileshare) but occasionaly I would like to upload a song I purchased and email it to a friend, but obviously it is to large of an attachment to email. I suppose megaupload, but are their alternatives?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We had a discussion awhile ago that I signed up for but haven't
used yet which is virtual storage..I personally am going to upload
mp3s to my storage site..so my family can have access to them
without having to make them CR-Rs.

I will give that a try. I have toasted 3 cd burners in the last two years burning discs for friends and family, so that should turn out to be a much better option

Nope - just kept the URL handy for a rainy day

There are other options also (not e-mail) - like: Ezmo and GigaTribe : Share large files within a private peer to peer (P2P) network and AllPeers : Share exactly what you want with exactly who you want!

I just went there, and it said it was unavailable in the U.S.
