tony allen´s 2002 album homecooking is one of my favourit afrobeat albums. tony allen - who played the drums for fela kuti (and many other´s) in the 70´s - is mixing funk, jazz and soul to a special beat. actually tony allen plays with damon albarn in his project the good, the bad & the queen.

I'll definitely listen to that. I thought Fela Kuti was amazing. If you like drummers, MP3sale has a huge selection of Billy Cobham albums.
