Thumbs up Mark Knopfler and Emylou Harris - 09-25-2007, 11:46 AM

I have been a fan of Mark Knopfler since forever and have recently been enjoying a relatively new album he has put out with Emmylou Harris called 'All the Roadrunning'. If you like laid back country rock then I recommend this - great to listen to on the road or relaxing with a cold pink lemonade at the end of a busy day.
Sparks/MM also has a number of other Knopfler albums such as 'The Ragpicker's Dream' and 'Sailing to Philadelphia' that are full of mellow and laid back R&B/folk-rock/country-rock style songs.
I would be interested to hear of any other recommends for this style of music.

Hello Squash,

That is a beautiful album ...I have been a fan of both Mark's and
Emmy Lou's from the beginning...Check out Gram Parsons.. one of the true orignators of country rock.. this is where Emmy Lou started out and she sing on his albums..
also check out Mr. Knopfler's new album
Kill to Get Crimson ..moves but still on the mellow side.

Thanks Nightfly, I will look out some Parson's stuff tonight. I have been hanging out for the new Knopfler album to be listed on MM. It is there now and on my list to DL. I found it on another store I use (mp3Million) a while ago but the bitrate was 175

Hi Guys,

I am a big fan of Mark as well and earlier in the year I saw Mark & Emylou Live at Wembley Arena in the UK, great night.
Have a look at All The Roadrunning "Live" from mp3sale @$1.68, 320kbps at no extra charge.
