The now traditional Summer Holiday abroad. If I remember right Nana and her glasses were assaulting our ears in the mid Seventies when a holiday abroad, especially to the exotic Greece, was still a bit of a rarity. Or maybe Greece was just starting to open up to the holidaying hordes.
Either way I think, maybe, those with some cash to splash wanted to get one over on the others who had been holidaying in the Spanish Costas so they bought an LP or two of Greek exotica back with them.
On the other hand I suppose Nana could have been a promotional stunt by the Greek Tourist Authority to try to convey that Greece was a sophisticated place to go for your holls. Blimey that could have misfired on them
Then there was the voluminous kaftan wearing Demis Roussos but you'd better ask Solaris about him as I'm sure he's got the full album collection
