Talking Couldn't resist it - 10-13-2007, 09:00 AM

I notice young Seva couldn't resist offering Radiohead's "In Rainbows" on his site. At least it's still at 160kbps. Shameless Seva

I saw that too but wanted it to go unnoticed - until you brought it up, that is

Hmm, maybe a small error on my part, but, fortunately, we live in a free market economy so it's down to user choice whether they download from Seva, MP3Stor or directly from the band's download site R A D I O H E A D

Hirs,

Heard on college radio station that Radiohead are going to release
a Cd version next year, for those that want full quality sound and inserts.
It's great that everyone can afford this recording..and I have bought it
off the site to support Radiohead in their efforts to change the way things
are done and bring music to all the masses with options.
As a Radiohead fan I like this album a great deal, and find it
to be one of their most accessible ones to date.

Thanks for all the updates,

Nightfly

The Radiohead website says the discs will be shipped on or before the 3rd December (in time for Xmas). The only reason I can see for having such a 'low' quality download is that it will encourage people to buy the CD when it comes out. If that is the reason, it is a very good marketing tool, bit like releasing the old picture disc two weeks after the standard album ,
Cheers,
Dave C

Yes you are absolutely right,it's great marketing and as I said gives everybody a shot at it.And I hope they make a ton of dough and throw
it in their ex - record companys face....

I can also relate to the picture discs...I was a sucker for those things...

I have a lot of those picture discs too - but the one I treasure most is "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" by Samantha Fox. NOW that's what I call getting something for ones money

Sammy Hagar / Sam Fox; which one of us should be more embarrassed,

Dave
