Soundsbox sounds really promising and in some ways similar to allofmp3.com I'm just concerned about the reliablility and confidence in downloading music without having to worry about our downloading records being sent to the RIAA or other authorities. Can I download as many songs/albums as I want without having to worry about getting caught with illegal music/mp3's and having to pay a hefty fine like that woman "Jammie Thomas" in Minn. who had to pay $220,000?
thanks in advance!

Welcome user242,
I am in the US.
SoundsBox is not a p2p site ..sharing of files..At a Ru. site you purchase a file as long as you keep it as your personal property it is yours...If you want to sell that property again ..that is illegal. The RIAA is going after the site owners(very unfortunately..

) and not the citizens because obviously they don't have any legal recourse.Because as you see,
if they could they would.
I use these sites because I believe in their right
to exist ,and they bring music to the global masses at a fair price with no drm and have very high standards.I say this from experience.
But if you are not comfortable, you should not do anything you are
uncomfortable with. The choice is ultimately Yours alone.
I use
Soundsbox often it is a very safe and good site with great
music and high standards.
