how does the search work?

This is a question for web designers and site admin out there...

When I type stuff into the search box, does that request get cataloged somewhere that the site admin can see it?

I ask because that seems like an invaluable resource for what albums to get and i often just skip over it and go to the alphabetical search. Maybe i should be using the search box?

Unfortunately the search box, needs fixing so your alphabet and genre and
new arrivals is still your best bet..But the old fashion email assistance and
also I know Seva would not mind if you pmed here with a priority request.
As I learned in all my dealings,patience is the name of the game and will
take you far and sometimes a occasional hello remember me type of thing will
help...these guys get very busy with everyday business problems.

I know i can request directly to seva.
I also know that has a higher percentage of success then just hoping he sees an old search. this is primarily a curiosity question than an improving the site question.

I was just curious if a list of everything typed into the search box was accessable by the webmaster and if they used it to find out about what is in high demand.

This was one of the very first suggestions I wrote Assistance, when I found SoundsBox in June/July - and you're right it would be nice

well it search doesnt support this...more features just makes all go more and more slower

we want to keep site simple and fast....so we have to pay the cost on other things
