Vik,

I am also a big fan of Soundsbox sometimes I would see a request
a day or 2 days later and then sometimes when I though Seva had forgotton
about me 2 weeks later theres my request..last time I asked For a band
Whiskeytown (hard to come by) ..10 days later there it was...it was great.
Patience and sometimes a little reminder to Seva is all it takes and
sometimes, well for what ever reason he can't get it ...and life goes on...lol..
You can see requests come in from other people because you see a great
deal of the same artist, though it's not your favorite you can tell it's somebody out theres favorite. That's a good thing for us all.

That's precisely why I decided to join, but I can't think of a single album I want now Recommendations?

How do you normally make requests for Seva? PM here, or through the website?

Through Assistance on their website.

By the way - what do you think of their Java downloader? Extremely fast, isn't it?

I like that they put the artist's name first, track number second and track title last

replacing mp3sparks?!

well maybe i'll give soundsbox another shot when i run out of money on sparks.

I spend only spend around 20 bucks a month on music, so i'm hardly a mega customer. but then again, its a lot when you consider the prices coming out of Russia and its neighbors.

Well, hardly replacing MP3Sparks... SoundsBox doesn't offer FLAC encoded files, which I use from time to time, when I come across a truly fantastic track

Like Hirs Ute I use more than 10 different Russian/Ukrainian online music stores but SoundsBox has grown into being my personal favourite. There are many reasons for that: For instance their extremely fast and ease of use Java downloader and Seva finding albums fast and efficient (I know you disagree on the latter)...

Hey 20 bucks gets you a lot of tunes..to me the only thing Sparks has
left is pick your own quality thing..But as far as new releases and
continuing to create a even better catalouge,I see other Russian sites
making more of a effort towards their customers. That's just my personal
opinion and from what I see and hear from others on a daily basis here on this forum.
So spend your 20 where you think you will get the biggest bang for your
buck...that's what I do.

Yes, i don't understand. but i do understand broken promises and money talks.
So i switched to another company.

thats my two cents: great site, music selection is more generalized, and customer service is a crock.
sorry but this is not true

Since I work and reply to all requests I remember that I said only 2 times that we'll add something and we didnt (doubt both were from you), I got burned those two times and I dont do this any more, first we check and then reply.

AS solaris said, out of all requests we get daily we manage to find 80% of it, and those 20% are really weird stuff.

Seva

Hi Seva.

I'm sure you meant "rare" stuff - not "weird"
