Thumbs up I'm seriously impressed - 10-09-2007, 09:08 PM

Decided I didn't have any Nirvana so decided to buy Nirvana "Nirvana". Went to Soundsbox and found the album, but on checking the bit-rate it said 'zero'.

Mailed Soundsbox assistance and got a reply within 10 minutes telling me the album would be uploaded at 224 within the hour. 50 minutes later (OK could have been quicker - I was eating) there it was.

OK, so I didn't ask for some album that wasn't on the site and maybe the album shouldn't have been showing at zero bit rate, but 11 out of ten for super responsive Assistance.

Seva, you and your team (assuming you've got a team and not doing it all yourself ) are a credit to the download business. Thanks

Hirs,

Glad to hear about your good experience with SoundsBox..

But what I'd like to know....How was the Nirvana
One of my favorite all time bands..
Did you get "Nevermind" ....the classic

Take care,

Nightfly

Hi Nightfly. I've enjoyed Nirvana from the sidelines (mainly when friends had the albums) but never got around to buying any of their albums, so I decided to put that right. As I have said before I am still exploring myself musically and buying a lot of music I should have bought a long time ago.

As is often the case where I don't have anything by a band I headed for the 'greatest hits' section and chose two albums. The first, Nirvana "Nirvana", seemed to be well recommended at various sites, and has 15 tracks, four of which are on "Nevermind"; "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "In Bloom", "Come as you are" and "Lithium".

The other was "Unplugged In New York" which I previewed on Sparks before buying it (elsewhere ). I must admit I'm quite a fan of the MTV "unplugged" series although there are a few shockers in the series.

I haven't really listened in detail yet, but will do during today. I'll let you know how I get on

A great MTV Unplugged CD is the Alice in Chains show. In fact I believe they just reissued an expanded edition of this. Definitely worth checking out.

every day I'm more impressed with soundsbox. the downloader is solid, payments work well, and the site is a pleasure to browse. most importantly, the site is giving me stuff I really want that's just not on any other site. so many releases before the release date. I love it. and some rarer stuff I've been pleasantly surprised to see added. top notch job all around. my top site right now.
