i'm a new registered member on the forum....but have been reading these for weeks as i have been disgusted with the whole allofmp3/alltunes funding issues.

I signed up for soundsbox.com and used the two free downloads. At first i was doing searches for the artisits i was interested in....and was finding very little. but the search feature is not as reliable right now as just choosing the first letter of the name of any artist you are looking for, there are a ton of them on there... downloads worked flawlessly, and they are good rips. I then purchased the $50 gift voucher from them for only $35 bucks via paypal....that's an excellent deal! Communication is excellent from Seva....and no canned answers. very personable.

so far I am highly impressed.

Can you tell something about the quality? MP3? CBR?
Already got it in another thread, this is a very cool service. But Mp3Sparks / AOM3 is still better, in my opinion, with all those options.

Soundsbox is new, it is not fair to even compare them to the mighty
allofmp3...There is no other site right now that compares, But it is not that easy for some to access..This is a viable alternative...But I admire their desire to please their customers and create good will among them..If you dig
that ..you will like soundsbox...they have a few bugs there but I am sure as told, they will be taken care of soon...they are at 192 mp3 vbr and higher..

I also agree they are (still)better ... but if you can pay for downloading or if you have credit.

Thanks Nightfly, I have allofmp3 account for over 3 years now (not that I use it lately) . allofmp3 is old site and it is kind of weird to compare it to a site that's so new like soundsbox. I think we are more than good for a startup company. Hope there is someone here who knows allofmp3 from 3-4 years ago...they sure were not what they are now.
