in addition to being a top-notch site, soundsbox seems to get more albums before they're officially released. I love that.

Yes that one of the highlights of the site is their new arrivals, always
a surprise and always daily.

So far I've been disappointed with soundsbox. I haven't been able to find most of what I'm looking for there. Granted, I listen to a lot of electronica/dance which tends to be hard to keep up on sometimes, but I was able to find 90% of what I was looking for on mp3sparks.com. Guess I'll just have to pray they get their payment system back up again.

My advice would be before you sign up for any site make sure the
catalogue suits your personal tastes and musical needs.

If you have read the reviews on Rutunes.com you would have found
out that Mp3skyline has one of the largest catalogue's on the net
of electronica/dance and prides it self on this fact.

Sites catalogues are disscussed in each review on Rutunes.

I find that Soundsbox fits my musical needs because
I like diversity, and enjoy the Jazz and Blues and early new arrivals.
But that's just my personal taste.

But to avoid making future mistakes..
I suggest you first check with Rutunes.com to find out all you need
to know about the various sites.....

Thank you for the advice...I'll definitely check into the other site. I think I'm just going through mp3sparks withdrawal, and need a reason to bitch.

I can only say good things about Seva and the soundsbox crew.

Every once in a while something so obscure and strange will show up on the new albums list. I can't help but love a company that sought out and uploaded a 1983 release by Wendy Carlos because someone asked for it!

I noticed today as i downloaded my order that when i first joined Soundsbox my order number was around 2000. The current order is numbered almost 32000!

congratulations on having so many orders! its a testament to your customer service.

LOL..that's funny you mentioned Wendy Carlos ..I saw that to
I remember listening to Digital Landscapes...She was the first one
to soften up the sound of the synthesizers and make them palatable
to the classical audience.
I picked that selection up as well..you never know what you'll find there..
even when it's stuff I don't like..it's still kinda interesting.

Made me suddenly nostalgic for "this option is not available to you at this time" response from Mp3Sparks
