But somehow dont know what youre doing here at all, you dont seem to be a music lover, those people are not bothered with info's like this if the song is 5 or 5.5MB. You obviously have too much free time

Seva

Dear Seva,

I am indeed a music lover as most are on here, yes I am retired and yes I have a lot of free time especially at my age. I probably listen to to 3-4 hours music a day, and it is always on when I am on my computer, I also have a fairly big collection of music. I am also sure that everyone on here can make up there own mind as to where they spend their money. Me personally, if all other things are equal, then I will go for the best quality at the cheapest price, simple as that.

Chris7 ..I agree that you are entitled..to your opinion and if these are your priorities..great by all means..Go and do what you got to do..but Seva is doing the best to defend Soundsbox..so if you have to defend...you must
be under attack...no reason to attack Seva .Seva has done many nice things
for the members on this site and many are appreciative..I for one are
among them...Your point is well taken...but no need for a argument..
Soundsbox is getting in a fantastic catalog of rare esoteric material..
that is my personal priority and I personally have seen there new arrivals
bit rates be 180 and above...They are getting better with each passing week
and I bet if you check back in a month you will see many of your concerns
possibly addressed...all I'm saying ..give them a chance..
Check back with me in two weeks and we'll discuss it....right here.
Take care and thanks for your input,

Nightfly

Seva
LOL!

Actually, dude, you should. Your site is so flash-heavy that it's completely unuseable for anyone with serious privacy concerns. Your people should be concentrating on the core business of delivering superior audio content instead of playing around with graphics.

ah, one more....

you and few other say this...then I do ugly site then I'll have 100 comments about the ugly site...this really doesn't make any sense... Now we have site and we are mostly concentrating on getting best and rare stuff in good quality and some already know some 4000 jazz albums will be uploaded in the next 7 days 80% of this is rare stuff and you probably wont find it on any other site...all thanks to one jazz music collector, I don't have to mention that all is in 320kbps.

Dear Nightfly,

I have no axe to grind with you , Seva, or anyone else on this forum, I just tell it how it is, it is just my honest opinion, nothing more and nothing less!

The site could do with a bit less flash (especially the strobing animations) and it is very graphic intensive, but I like the color scheme and layout (it fits most people's concept of "Web 2.0"). The site actually loads faster for me than Sparks or MM.

Personally, I expect a lot from Soundsbox in the future, it will be my Sparks/MM backup. I also like that Seva is an active part of the community here.

I don't have a problem with using intensive graphics to make your site look better, but the basic navigation should be Flash free. Maybe you then get some people saying your site is ugly, but you also get more people signing up -- I'm not keen on jazz, but I'm all for best and rare, and I *want to* check out your site. At the moment I can only do that on my Windows laptop, not on the UNIX desktops that I'm chained to for about 8 hours a day.

LOL!

Those wouldn't be 'work-related' UNIX desktops you're using to visit music download sites would they? =p

I think Soundsbox is absolute brilliant for such a young site - and I for one don't have any problems with their "flashy" interface, since I'm "sitting on" a 25 Mbit internet connection
