AllofMP3: 'Service Will Be Resumed' - 08-28-2007, 09:47 AM

While some may have left it for dead, the owners of AllofMP3 said Monday that they do plan to resume service. "The service will be resumed in the foreseeable future," a blog post from the company read. "We are doing our best at the moment to ensure that all our users can use their accounts, top up balance and order music."

The announcement of the return of AllofMP3 follows a decision by the Russian courts to throw out a case against the former head of Mediaservices (parent company of the site) Denis Kvasov. Although the record industry has vowed to appeal, they might be fighting an uphill battle as the courts have ruled Kvasov can't be sued under current laws.

I just knew that I had seen that very same message more than a month ago (see attachment). Strange that it suddenly made the news all over the world on Monday

I still don't think that AllOfMP3.ru will ever be a download service again - at least not for non-Russian users.

If you cant fund your account using a credit card then open or closed is the same thing no money no music. The Credit Card Powers are in the west. But still great to brouse new music.

There are other ways of funding your account than direct credit card payment (which still works in certain circumstances anyway)

If you have a PayPal account, then you have at least two options to add to your MP3Sparks/allTunes account: http://www.aom3.org/forum/funding-yo...html#post16341 (see option 2 and 3)

If they were smart they would close down, do some creative shuffeling and reopen under another name in another location. It causes all kinds of delays in courts when that happens...
