Amazon applies "fingerprints" rather than "locks" to music, the idea being that music exchanges can be tracked at a later date, rather than prevented from the outset.
Not that I would ever share Amazon bought music, I just don't like the idea that they don't trust their customers
And you have to provide an address within the USA to even be able to use the store

Oh Oh...This is not good...that's why I am always skeptical when
it's a US based Corp...unfourtunately I have had to much experience
as a citizen for my liking... that is why I am here as a member of
aom3.org..
Not to defend them ..there were many hoops for them to jump through, just to get to this point...Lets hope that they listen to their customer base
and become a real contender and we can always take off those fingerprints..
do we have a guide somewhere? I have found that they are customer
based, having experience buying and selling used Cd's with them.
They have a nice community of vendors and customers ..that is supported
well by their customer service.
But I do not like the US address thing..but I know that this is
a regulation set up by the RIAA, because I read it on The Pandora
website. This is why Pandora can not go global like they desire.
Lets hope they can get some autonomy from the RIAA and the shark
filled waters of lawyers.
