Look, this is the same situation as in the music industry. The only way they'll dump DRM is it is shown to them that copyright protection just doesn't work. Besides, if you put DRM into media then someone will always come along and crack it.
One way to counter part of the problem is for ISPs to levy a sum that goes back to the copyright holder (music and film) and let people upload and download to their heart's content. Such a scheme may not be foolproof but a lot of people who use p2p would embrace a system like this. Likewise this would also reduce the market size for commercial pirates. As well, the music and film industries could upload their products and people could "purchase" the products online. It's kind of like a subscription product except you get to keep the product.
Of course a lot of stakeholders would resist a scheme like this but it does have it's merits.

Hi archon.thelawgiver
Can't really comment on your idea about copyright protection, but I can say that what you say in your location has some merit. I lived in Australia for nine years and am heading back within the next year for probably the rest of my life. Western Australia is producing, consistently, some of the top models in the world -- which even has the modeling agencies puzzled as to why so many beautiful women come from Australia, and in particular, WA. Models aside, I can certainly vouch for the beauty of Australian women, no doubt there. Now I would be a little careful about the comment on Scandanavian women. Can't say I've ever thought they weren't worthy of the male eye.

I would like to add the disclaimer that the beauty of women goes beyond just their physical beauty.
My apologies to the moderators for the diversion from this topic.
