MTV posts almost every music video ever -

Do you sometimes find yourself wishing that there was a place you could go to just watch music videos? Back in the 80s, MTV served that purpose. These days, MTV and its sibling MTV2 are hardly channels anyone would watch in order to get a music video fix. MTV is looking to redeem itself in the music video department, however, by launching a new site Tuesday called MTV Music that opens up the company's massive video archive and puts it on the web for free.
MTV Music expands upon the music video offerings already posted to MTV.com by offering an entire back catalogue of videos that go all the way to when music videos were born. The library includes more than 16,000 videos, sprinkled with "exclusive" MTV concert footage and MTV "Unplugged" performances that used to be all the rage. And that's just the beginning. According to a blog post on MTV's Splash Page, more videos are being added by the day, so even if your favorite Paula Abdul selections haven't been posted yet, they probably will make it up eventually.

ashley, you should give it another try, it must be something else blocking you.
i tried from turkey and bulgaria, both not really anywhere near the USofA, and
it worked in both cases. i have, for this purpose, not used any VPN or 'alternate'
browsers, just straight local IPs. will try some more countries and report back.

This seems to be a repeat of the problems I was having trying to see www.crutchfield.com the day.
It is not a machine problem as I have tried it on both my laptop and my desktop.
All I get is:

ashley, checked the very same clip you were trying, works fine. so it is not a one
clip yes - one clip no affair. but i cant clearly see the ( S ) symbol of your firefox,
could it be you are blocking videos yourself? free that page of any restrictions, at
least for a moment, and see what happens.
also, try another browser, such as the new GOOGLE CHROME, and use a portable
version that ( a ) does not do anything to you computer settings and ( b ) leaves no
residue whatsoever, and (c) does not report back to anybody (but your closest friends).
its worth trying: just looked thru some old pink floyd clips, and the bangles, and others
it had totally forgotten - a ride down memory lane.

I had though of that and had allowed all scripts etc. for the page and just to make sure I tried it in Opera and got exactly the same thing.
I have no idea what the problem is as I did not get to the bottom of the Crutchfield saga. I tried three different browsers, turned off my internet security but I was still not able to view the site.
It must be something in my set-up but I have no idea what.

Hi Ashleyj
It's a long shot, but some sites have been known to block based on language preferences. You could try adding English/US under Languages in your browser options.

Thanks GM,
Might be as I do use the UK version of Firefox but Opera is not localised as far as I know so I am not sure that is the problem.
