The report makes it sound like they are going to be just 'renting' shops again (bit like Virgin Digital I guess). I'd prefer to have i-tune & DRM over that. Any news on how the new(ish) amazon download shop is doing??

not only is the music rented, the subscription is "free" as the cost of an 18 mo. subscription is to be absorbed by the device manufacturer. lots of ways for this to fail, but competition tends to improve what we're offered in the end.
