I'll only look for singles for my most favourite artist in order to have a complete collection and when even an odd b-side is a treasure. There's only very few artists like that.

When some of us were younger there was 45 rpm singles and they were glorius..we mostly bought these and a rare album like say The Beatles,
Monkees,..extc.(not me as a little kid I had to buy the albums,it started back

Nightfly, your reply triggered a memory; The one thing I do miss, with downloading, are the old picture discs, you know when an album was produced on clear vinyl with an image encapsulated within. Oh, and the ones that were made from really weird colours of vinyl

My first ever coloured, multi coloured or picture vinyl record was "The Haunted House Of Rock" (1983) by Whodini (on 12"), which I still think is the best rap song ever made. It was neon lightning green and I had it pinned to my wall for periods of time during the next couple of years

After that I bought approximately 100 of these types of vinyl records (not that I collected them specifically or anything - they just weren't all that rare during that time period and only represent 2-3% of my total vinyl collection).

But the one that really sticks out... (in my mind, that is ) is "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" by Samantha Fox, which I bought on 12" in February/March 1986.

I also pinned her from time to time (to my wall, that is)

You mean Woolworths are still around?
They went out here a long time ago.Like 20 years ago.
I thought the entire chain was non-existant these days.
