Alltunes? - 04-21-2007, 05:21 PM

Not certain I'm going about this the right way, but I'll try. It's not clear to me the distinction or relationship (if any) between alltunes and allofmp3. I've been using allofmp3 for about a month and love it. Now I'm curious about alltunes, tried downloading today, but it's slow or not up. Is this just another means to music? Is it better than allofmp3, the same, totally different?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for the site.

AllTunes - 04-21-2007, 05:37 PM

Alltunes is just an application that makes the search, ordering and download process from AllofMP3 that much easier; that being said, once you order a tune, the download begins automatically...none of the right-click 'Save-As' stuff.

I've had some real problems getting logged into Alltunes the last three days, which leads me to believe that there are some problems with the servers at AllofMP3. Anyone else having problems?

AllTunes is a downloader developed by AllOfMP3.

On the AllOfMP3-site you can put a lot of the music in your basket and download the tracks one by one - but if there are many then it will take time.

allTunes downloads all the content of your basket for you and place the files in the folder of your choice.

You chose a bad day to download allTunes, though, since it's running as slow as the main-site has done for a couple of days. The both do sometimes - nothing new about that. It's just been awhile since the last time.

For some strange reason you can experience that allTunes runs perfectly, when AllOfMP3 does not - and sometimes it's the other way around.

By the way: www.Legalsounds.com has a good downloader also.

I can really tell that many of you guys are relatively new to AllOfMP3 because of your worries about the instability of their servers. Don't be

In the past it has happened regularly.

I've used LegalSounds. The downloader creates album directories and puts the files in there, like iTunes. I don't like that. I want all my MP3s in one folder, and as for the files themselves, I like the "Artist - Track" naming scheme.

Also, their catalog is not nearly as large as ALLOFMP3 or GoMusic.
