I have noticed today that playing samples using the internal player DOES play them in their entirety. That's definitely an improvement; however, the samples player -- unlike using a system player -- doesn't allow you to rewind or fast forward, which is why I never use it. (I usually jump and skip around a few times to decide whether I want to buy something; it's a lot faster than listening to an entire song multiple times.)
When using a system player, I am still seeing truncations in Ver 1.0 of the client. The most likely explanation for your good fortune is that you're playing them internally, while I, up until now, was not. There are other possibilities, but that's my guess at this point.
I'd really like to see them restore the full-length preview to external players, but with the option available on the internal player AND mp3sparks.com, I suspect I may be starting to nitpick.
Thanks for the data points.

I have chosen at random Dire Straits and their last studio album which is "On Every Street", the first two tracks are Calling Elvis & On Every Street at over 6/5 minutes respectively, both played from start to finish?
I have had no problems with AllTunes this year.
