Tunes in alltunes client not downloading, stays red - 04-07-2011, 03:03 PM

Is anyone else having this problem? The songs are queued in the 'Download' tab but all the songs stay red and nothing gets download. I tried going to mp3sparks and downloading from there. Downloaded 'save as target' downloads but filesize is 0 kB. All the songs remain with a small red bar and 0% downloaded. am running AllTunes in Win 7 as Administrator with firewall open to AllTunes.

Could just be busy?
Always try and log off and back on, if not try next day, if not contact them.

Regards
Chris

P.S. Could be they are still experiencing problems from a few days ago and may take a bit more time to be back properly?

Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale is the most played song in public places in the last 75 years, according to a chart compiled for BBC Radio 2. (April 2009)

Hi. I wonder whether this problem resolved itself.
I too am having problems over the last week in downloading tracks from both mp3sparks.com and alltunes. Attempting a download in alltunes results in it timing out and the red warning triangle appearing next to the track. In mp3sparks, when you hover over the track it recognises it is a .flac file but when right clicking and saving as link I receive an instantaneous tiny file (either .txt or untagged). No flac.
I am running Windows 7 - oh, and have also tried via a laptop running Vista with the same problem.

Unfortunately trying this again last night resulted in me being charged for two tracks which I couldn't download so I'm reluctant to keep trying without understanding what the problem is. I have messaged their support page a couple of times but it seems this can take awhile for a response.

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks, jprodd.

I think in this instance that the best thing seem to be to wait for a bit, hopefully normal service will soon be back up and running. these thing seem to happen from time to time.

In case anyone else is having this issue, a quick update....I have noticed that this only seemed to be an issue with .flac files. I tried the same music but in .mp3 and downloaded that with no problems. This suggests that perhaps something was wrong with the step mp3sparks takes to make the flac files available. Anyhow, if I get any response from them I'll update this. cheers.

As mentioned on another thread a few minutes ago, I had the same problem a few days ago. I thought at first it was because I was trying to download Mantovani. I waited until next day, hit each paused track with the cursor, and clicked resume. Downloads went as usual. Perhaps the folks in that big cave where the sounds are stored relented, and decided to let a little Mantovani through just this once, or perhaps they were having a little glitch, and it's all better now.

I was having the same issue earlier, but as I type this, it is functioning normally. I think sometime some patience is required. If you want reliability 100% of the time, I guess one must pay for iTunes at 10x the price.
