is it more expensive than Skyline was? I thought Skyline as 20 cents x the number of tracks in an album. Lavamus is 15 cents, or less if you load up your balance and get the bonus credit. At any rate, 15 cents for mixshows like Anjunabeats Worldwide, the Essential Selection, the Juicy Show, Cutkiller, etc.... is sure better than $1.80 for the same things from Skyline. Don't get me wrong, if Skyline/mp3xclusive makes a comeback, I'm all over it... but Lavamus's prices don't put me off at all.

I agree their prices for the DJ mixes are very cheap, if that`s what you`re looking for.
But their prices for regular albums seem a bit costly when compared to most of the other sites.

Well, the amount was charged to my credit card. No problems ,.... well, almost. I chose the US$29.95 option (the subsequent Netbutpro.com email confirmed this amount) and I was charged US$30.20. No big deal, but still ... hmmmmm

NightBird,
This may happen because the payment processing company that we are using is processing payments in UK pounds. And if your credit card is not issued in UK pounds or does not belong to UK bank then there may be some minor international transaction fees or currency conversion fees. Another possible reason of this difference is that UK pounds and US dollars are not stable and the conversion rates are not the same everyday. While we are monitoring them and try to keep our prices updated sometimes users get charged slightly more than they expected.
The only way to solve this problem for us is to add 1$ more to every user who submits payment. This way customer will at least get not less than he paid for. So if you pay 29.95$ you will get about 31$ on your balance.

Fair enough, Lavamus. Thanks for the explanation.

netbutpro.com looks dodgy to me - 07-09-2008, 11:09 PM

I'm pretty suspicious of the Lavamus payment site, netbutpro.com.

I have to disagree. Just googled it and all I get is the site itself, this forum and one Japanese site regarding mp3's.

Googling the company name quoted on the contact page "Doster Company" does not yield anything reassuring about its 'net commerce' credentials.

Furthermore, if you stick the postcode (******) into a map site that covers UK streets like multimap.com, it doesn't correspond to the quoted street name, ******. So the address looks phoney.

Dodgy.

Another thing we do not discuss the sites processing details on this
site it is a site rule and not fair to the sites to divulge such info
here.
