Emusic is offering eMusic SXSW Birthday Sampler a six free track
cross section of new artists on their new upcoming label.
It is all alternative rock/pop

There is also a IODA SXSW Opening Day Bash Sampler 2008 sampler
with 11 free tracks from the new Ioda label for Alternative Rock/Pop artists.
I have downloaded both collections and can say this is a great way to hear future new upcoming artists and being able to say you heard them first.

What I do is delete the ones I don't like and I have created a file called Emusic
Sampler's where I put all my favs and "play all" and it creates a great playlist.


Also their is a free album called A Small Commotion by Spokane
a slow moving gentle alternative pop album say like the cowboy junkies.
It contains the total album with 11 free tracks.
