"Normal" online stores - 01-06-2008, 03:34 PM

Hello every one, I dont have much experience with online d/ls stores variety out there, I am looking for something that fully "honors" the artist's effort/energy/etc - like some of the money I pay actually goes back to the artist. I dont mind so much the prices.

I am thinking that the russian websites, even tho legal, dont really honor the artist (so cheap!)??

Any Input would be very welcomed, thanks if you can take the time.

My best,

Victor

Victor,
as it was stated sooo much times before - it's not russian websites who don't honour artists and music art but it's the Big Brother.

MP3skyline archmage. Over 3 100 000 tunes - ain't it magic?
one, two - buckle my shoe, three, four - shut the door, five, six - pick up sticks, seven, eight - lay em straight

Hi Victor and welcome to the forum :

All these Russian/Ukrainian download stores pay royalties according to Russian laws. The problem is that the RIAA won't accept this money (because they won't legalize the competition)

Hi vn1984.

Why do you insist on buying overpriced DRM infected files from RIAA approved stores? Stores that even discriminate by dividing people into different either approved or not-approved regions of the world The artists don't get much there either

If you do not want to use any of the 'Russian' web-sites (), I would try either e-music (very good for the less well known bands) or the amazonmp3 site. This is only meant to be available in the US (I think), but you can easily get it by just 'making' up a US address.
Cheers,

Fair enough, but when you have done so, would you be kind enough to give a responsive answer to Solaris's very reasonable question

Victor.

To me the Russian sites and all sites that offer DRM-Free
downloads are "Normal" and I have been using them for a long time
and have had nothing but pleasant experiences.
It all depends on your perspective.

If you would like to find more detailed information on each site
please visit www.Rutunes.com
We have taken a great deal of time there to educate the
consumer on their options for Drm-free and affordable
downloads. And there is fine article there on the sites
legality issues. The choice's and decission's are yours.
