Question Question: Most responsive for new music? - 09-05-2007, 07:11 PM

Howdy;

Had a quick question: Who seems to be the most responsive when it comes to requesting that either new or old albums be uploaded?
I have contacted a couple (Legalsounds,Mp3stor and Sparks) requesting stuff and have gotten no response at all.
I am trying to locate anything by Willy Porter, but have been unsuccessful. Hence the request to the sites. Emusic has some, but at $.40 per track, is a bit expensive and would like to find an alternative.

Thanks in advance - Mark

SoundsBox is always very responsive, when you ask for new albums. Request the albums either on their website or PM seva, who is their representative here in this forum.

Mark to answer your question..I agree with solaris I asked Soundsbox
for some Steve Earle and the next day it was there with his new realease..
pretty cool...
also as far as Emusic is concerned we have a link
I can find for you, if your interested for Emusic 100 downloads free..
Get your Willy Porter and you are under no obligation to continue.
and if you get the $20 package -the downloads are 28 cents a piece
for 75 downloads.

Solaris & Night,

Just a quick note to say that your well thought out responses are very helpful to all who read these boards. I don't ask alot of questions, but I learn a tremendous amount from your posts of others questions. Keep up the good work

Thanks for the suggestion about Soundsbox. I had forgotten that I had an account on the site. I did PM Seva and he looked but was unable to come up with any Willy Porter. So I guess that I can assume that the sites "share" tracks between them?

Thanks - Mark

Nightfly;

My math is off! I am an old subscriber to Emusic and am still on the old 40 for 10 bucks ($.25) per track. Not sure how I came up with 40 cents!
Like I said in the previous post to Solaris, I tried Soundsbox, but no luck. I'll keep trying as I like to keep Emusic as a last resort, especially for stuff I can't find on some of the other sites (like Willy Porter).

Thanks - Mark
