Lightbulb A run down of ALL the other Russian/Ukrainian online music stores - 01-25-2008, 01:50 PM

Here is a run down of all the Russian/Ukrainian online music stores (that I know of) with an English interface and frequent (daily) updates of their catalogues:

www.SoundsBox.com

www.MP3Sale.ru and sister site: www.MP3Million.com

www.MP3Skyline.com

www.MP3Fiesta.com

www.MusicMP3.ru and sister site:www.GoldenMP3.ru

www.LegalSounds.com

www.MILLIsong.com

www.GoMusic.ru and (sort of) sister sites: www.MP3Search.ru and www.MP3.ua

www.Mclub.com.ua/

www.Lavamus.com and sister sites: www.JeyMP3.com and www.JustMusicStore.com and www.MP3Legal.org and www.Isound.be and www.AllOffMP3.org and www.BoxMP3.net and www.MP3-Store.org and www.Tunes4U.org and www.ShoutMP3.com and www.YourMP3Top.com and www.LigaMusic.com and www.MP3ShopCart.com (all stores are part of the Lavamus network)

www.MP3Sugar.com

http://eng.cdonpc.ru

www.Soundike.com

www.MP3Ninja.com

www.MP3City.com.ua/en

www.MP3Shake.com/en

www.MP3Motor.com

www.Iomoio.com (It seems that it could be well on its way to become "extinct" - though the jury is still out)

If anyone know any other store(s) within the same criteria, please feel free to post it/them in this thread.

Note: This last few months we have unfortunately lost both www.MP3Stor.com and www.MP3Spy.ru

Thanx Hirs Ute! I've already registered with millisong (as well as with mp3fiesta). However, their collection is only a fragment of mp3sparks' one! And there are no new releases (at least on the genres I'm looking for). For example, check out for 'British Sea Power' of even 'Joan Osbourne'... No results at all!!!
Let's just hope that mp3sparks will find a way back to the surface...

I suppose as we say in England "You can't have your cake and ha'penny" (or, as rather interestingly told to me by an Italian colleague "you can't have your wife drunk and your bottle full" although exactly what he means I have no idea ).

In other words we can carry on bleating about what we can't get on Sparks owing to it's current situation or we can knuckle down and make the best of a bad situation with the bounty offered us by all the other sites on offer.

I offer a summary of the choices we have:
a) A massive offering from a site that you can't add funds to (if truth be told a site that was somewhat torpid when it comes to new releases).
OR
b) A site that offers new releases (sometimes before an album is 'officially available') but with lower than ideal bitrates.
OR
c) A site with massive 320kbps files but that is somewhat slower adding the latest releases but offers an ever increasing back catalogue

Hmmm, don't think the world's come to it's end yet

Right said! That's why (as mentioned) I registered with two sites!

Absolutely, and my reply was on a wide basis. The more sites the merrier I'm registered at 9 sites as of last count

Which Music Store Has Classical Music? - 02-02-2008, 04:29 AM

One of the things I have enjoyed about Allofmp3 is its large catalog of Classical and Jazz. I have not seen that in the other music stores discussed here. Can someone make a suggestion?

Welcome tulsagentleman,

I am also into Classical and Jazz ..
For both, eMusic has a large catalogue of Classical
from Harmonia Mundi,Chandos,Naxxos and Bis and other
great classical labels ..Also for old bebop and classic and modern
Jazz eMusic's catalogue can't be beat as well...

see a full review at our sister site Rutunes.com that mentions
this in more detail.

As the Russian sites go, I found that Soundsbox is always getting
in Jazz and old Blues new arrivals..Mp3skyline has a decent Jazz
collection as well as Mp3sale...
Mp3Skyline has some good classical titles but you must search for them.

These are my personal findings..but I suggest you check out
Rutunes.com for more detailed reviews of the above mentioned sites.

We also have a Jazz and Classical Forum on this site here.

Once again welcome to the Forum....

I believe solaris found this one a couple of weeks ago.
Can't remember if he liked the site or not?
