Hi,
I had a look at the
Iomoio site today. I checked a few recent releases and noticed that they were 320kbps and started to get all excited because many of the other sites have inferior bit rates for their MP3s. But then I searched a couple of older albums and saw that there was a mixture of low and medium quality bit rates as well.
This is not useful to me as all my music (2,300 albums so far) is in 320kbps. And as I still have around 400 vinyl albums to convert to MP3 I'd rather pay $1.00-$1.50 to download an album than spend the time it takes to do the conversion, so long as it's 320. I can always convert MP3s to a lower bit rate for my portable player, but it's not possible to convert a low bit rate to 320 (does not increase quality) for my hi-fi system. It's frustrating for me to find albums that I want listed, but then not be able to download them because they are poor quality.
Could you tell me if you have a policy on MP3 quality of the albums that you list? Personally, I think your site has great potential and you would increase sales if your entire catalogue was in 320 and with your new pricing structure you would gain a considerable advantage over other on-line music sites.
Cheers,
