Millisong begins the new releases - 06-18-2008, 05:07 AM

Over the past couple of months I've been pretty damned critical of Millisong and other sites over various issues. However it appears (at least initially) that Millisong is beginning to release new music. Go to the just added section and check it out. I said it's a beginning. Personally I'd like to see more before I give them the thumbs up. However it is an encouraging sign.

Well, archon, please make a decision! It seems a little bit schizophrenic to make a statement like the above and then give the store a... thumb up

half a thumb - 06-18-2008, 08:56 AM

I'm giving them half a thumb's up. Let's see how it pans out over the next couple of weeks. For heaven's sake it's only one update where I saw a lot of new releases. As I said it's a start. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good Lord - 06-18-2008, 10:38 AM

It seems my announcement was ahead of Millisong's one. I think I'll get a life.

I've begun buying music again - 06-27-2008, 03:13 AM

Several weeks ago Solaris and I were doing the PM thing and I said that if the music outlets didn't get their act together soon I'd be leaving this site and looking for other music sources. Now I'm one of those people who are really picky about bit rates so I was getting really frustrated with Millisong's music selection.

Two weeks past Millisong made an announcement that they were increasing their new releases' schedule and I for one was guarded, and hopeful in my praise. So over the the past 14 days or so I've been scanning their selection and although it is the early stage of growth I can say I've begun to buy music again.

Now Millisong, you can't sit on your laurels on this one but I am urging people to support the site if you expect (near) cd quality music. In fact at the rate the company is releasing music I'd expect six months down the line that this site could become one the premier sites from the Russian/Ukranian outlets.

Another point of praise is the change in their release schedule. Before Millsiong was releasing page after page of music in one go and I just didn't have the time to wade through the selection. This has now changed to a system of more regular offerings but with less acts to chose from. What this means is that is easier to scan through the releases. And for a time poor teacher/businessman this is a godsend. Now you can all make your own minds over what I've just written but I'm going off to refill my balance so I can buy more music. Whohoo!!!

Thanks, archon, for the positive update on Millisong
It`s great to hear you are pleased with their new releases and they have some new stuff you want.
Hope you don`t leave this site, and hope you find more music you want from our Russian/Ukrainian friends
