Lavamus Blocked By Servers? - 08-29-2008, 06:44 AM

Everytime I had tried to log on to lavamus at home over the past few weeks I have never had any success. The error comes up "server taking too long to respond".

When I attempt to log in at work, however, using their server, I seem to be able to do it no problem.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I am based in US and my home ISP is Charter cable.

Try a traceroute from both locations - 08-29-2008, 02:12 PM

(I am assuming you use some form of Windows)
Open a Command/DOS Window and at the prompt type

tracert Lavamus.com main page :: mp3 download

You should see something like:

There's been a few posts on here where they've been unable to access Lavamus and turned out they worked their way onto a block list.

I'm guessing they've a strict blocking regime to protect themselves or something

If you PM Lavamus on here with your IP address (you can find it here What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Bandwidth Speed Test, IP Info, plus more) then you'll be able to find out if that is the case

Considering that (at least when I did a traceroute) there is only one further hop after te2-3.cerber.citytelecom.ru, this does indeed suggest that there is some kind of blocking going on, as benv suggests. You could report this to your ISP, indicating that this is a problem with them and not with other ISPs and ask (naively) why this would be.

Why have you been unable to PM? Here is a direct link if you're lost. http://www.aom3.org/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=5877

Those that worked their way onto the block list before also failed at the final hurdle/hop. So it may be that you have worked your way on there too.

Hi stussyboy99

It's just possible you can log in through some of the other shops in the Lavamus network - try www.mp3-store.org
